  1. Superintendent Update – Chris Sorrell
    • Golf Course Maintenance Update
      1. Discussed aeration of course is complete
      2. Tee box on Hole #3 Ladies has been relocated to meet yardage posted on scorecard
      3. Hole #3 Golf Path Only sign will be taken down and used only when necessary
      4. Discussed amount of sand in bunkers is an opportunity but budget to fill in is not in line with current cost of premium white sand at $2900 per truckload – work in progress
      5. New Bermuda sod will be laid on back of hole #26 green
    • Stakes for “In and Out” cart access to be implemented at Ranch in the next 2 months
  2. Tournaments’ Schedule
    • Discuss any upcoming tournaments or updates
    1. MGA – Bob Karlowicz
      1. Discussed “The Kathy” tournament (4/13 and 4/14) and raffle to support Continuing Education Fund that features a free six month cart rental and a round of golf for 4 with carts
      2. Discussed the MGA’s continued support of the CEF to develop our Pro Staff even after recent turnover
    2. RLGA  - Kristi Thiele
      1. Round Up Tournament schedule for 4/3 and 4/4
      2. Partee in Paradise scheduled for 5/9 and 5/10 – theme to be changed to “Lady Luck”
    3. SMGA – Jerry Obenour
      1. Discussed how adding expected pace of play by hole on scorecards has improved pace of play
    4. 9 Hole Group – Carol McHale

  1. Discuss Golf Committee focus areas
    • Communication – Chris Ferguson and Jerry Obenour
      1. Jerry and Chris have made remarkable progress in reinventing the Hills website available through Golf Genius. Website will be communicated to all golf members within the next few weeks
        1. All associations website links are available, Master schedule for both course posted
    • Handicap/Rules Committee
      1. Chris has made the decision to move forward with a new committee chaired by Jerry Obenour effective immediately
        1. Jerry will be reaching out to associations for candidates to committee
        2. Plan is to meet once a month early on and decide frequency after start up is complete
        3. Committee’s role will be to improve education and communication of both handicap posting, ESC scoring in GHIN and rule changes in 2019, etc.
    • Board of Governors Meeting notes – Bob Karlowicz
      1. Discussed that Audi sponsorship has been renewed for 2019 and will support Charity Classic, Member Guest Tournaments (Ladies and Men’s), and Club will purchase event banners and signage to spotlight Audi brand during events.
      2. Hills bathrooms still on books to be renovated in 2019
      3. Men’s and Women’s card rooms at the Dye being renovated
      4. Cottages at the Dye being renovated
      5. All Committee Party was discussed and several ideas for change next year were surfaced

  2. Pro Shop Update – Chris Ferguson
    • New assistant has been hired and started
    • Offer has been made for First Assistant position – decision pending
    • Intern starting in May
  3. Round Table –
    • Discussed rules governing play on holes #8 and #24 when ball is out of play – Chris will research and make formal decision for all golfers as to how to proceed. Choice between creating drop zones and what is the textbook rules that were in effect when USGA rated the holes. Chris will research and communicate to all golfers
    • Discussed having a range attendant on Driving Range and also “controlling” number of tee boxes used when High Schools teams are practicing to ensure members are able to use range. Chris is reviewing.
